We have seen the official illustrations of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for the first time during the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. For decades, the Corvette family has been a solid performance bargain and the formula still remains with the new Stingray. For about $50,000; users get an amazing sports car with carbon fiber hood and aluminum frame.
The car is driven by a 6.2l V8 small block engine that produces 455hp and twists out 460lbs-feet of torque. The standard version is equipped with 7-speed manual transmission, 8-inch color touchscreen display with Chevy MyLink interface, keyless start, removable roof panel made from carbon fiber, Bluetooth phone and many others. Owners get free maintenance for the first two years of usage or 24,000 miles.
The Z51 is a performance package and a must have model for speed junkies. It comes equipped with aero package, upgraded suspension, sportier gear ratios, better electronic differential, dry-sump oil pan, bigger slotted brake rotors, 20-inch rear wheels and 19-inch front wheels.
