The 2nd generation Nissan Qashqai will be revealed be revealed soon and a teaser image of the car has recently leaked. It appears that the car is covered almost completely with cloth, while certain parts look illuminated. On the front, the car looks quite similar to the new X-Trail model, which made a debut last month at the Frankfurt motor show. Nissan promises that its upcoming Qashqai car will be something significant in its modern portfolio. Nissan also said that the 2nd generation Qashqai will set new standards and redefine the crossover market.
The original Qashqai model is a good success and typically mentioned in top ten bestselling cars in the United Kingdom. The Qashqai blends SUV design with the running costs and practicality of a family car. Nissan will assemble the car at its Sunderland manufacturing plant. There will be front two-wheel and four-wheel drive variants, but there won’t be a 7-seater plus 2 version, since this role will be taken by the X-Trail.
The new Qashqai will be available in three variants, each based on different engines. One will have 1.2l, 84kW (113hp) DiG-T gasoline engine and 1.5l, 80kW (108hp) dCi engine. Another version will be equipped with a bigger 1.6-l dCi engine with an output of 95kW (128hp)
