Mercedes Reveals Interior Details of the C-Class

Mercedes has recently revealed details of the interior design of the Mercedes C-Class. Inside, the car does look fantastic with its soft ambient lighting, high-quality metal finishes, exposed wood trim and brushed aluminum surface that greatly enhance the premium credentials of the C-Class.

The interior is also bursting with high-end technology the company could muster. A large TFT color display sits conveniently between standard, analog dials and it controls many major functions of the car. The standard C-Class model comes with a 7-inch display, but users may opt to get a larger display with COMAND online upgrade, which includes intuitive touchpad and pin-sharp graphics. The matte panel also improves visibility in bright situations.

Drivers may also perform basic gestures like on tablets, such as pinching and swiping. They can clock easily through multiple sub-menus to access major functions.

The Mercedes C-Class also has longer wheelbase, which contributes to the decent headroom and generous legroom. Underneath the surface of the interior, the C-Class uses a mix-strength steels and aluminum on the bootlid and roof. This contributes to lighter overall weight, up to 100kg lower. Microsoft claims that the new rear suspension setup and multi-link aluminum front will help the car to lead the class in terms of comfort and dynamic ability.
